Bronson Methodist Hospital Exterior South Stair
Concrete Restoration
The scope of this project was to repair the unsightly iron staining and loose de-bonded steel nosings on the south exterior stairway and create a clean look that matched the previous look which included concrete and a rubberized deck coating system.
To accomplish this task, we removed all exposed iron nosings and existing delaminated concrete sections. We replaced all of the removed concrete sections with a fiber reinforced concrete patching system. A new cove seal system was installed around the perimeter of the existing handrail system supports to reduce rusting. We removed the existing iron stains from the existing deck coating system to prevent future iron staining. And lastly, we installed a two-coat deck coating system.
